The first train the other way, to DT35 Expo is at 5.42am on weekdays and Saturdays, and 6.02am on Sundays and public holidays. The last train to this destination is at 11.46pm everyday. The upstairs concourse offers ticket gates to enter the station quickly and easily, with a wider gate for those with suitcases, wheelchairs or strollers. Automatic ticket machines let customers buy tickets for any type of journeys and top up their travel cards.
Passenger Service Centre at Sixth Avenue MRT Station
The Passenger Service Centre is manned during the day in case of any problems. There is a public toilet, and this MRT station is one of just six along the Downtown Line-2 to provide a Civil Defence shelter in case of a national emergency. There are two exits at each side of Dunearn and Bukit Timah Road, with Exit B connected to Exit A via an overhead bridge. Both exits provide disabled access.

Sixth Avenue station is located at the boundaries of Coronation Road, Swiss Club and Hillcrest.
